FAQ
Q: How do I start?
A: Call or text to schedule a free Strategy Session (20–30 minutes): (720) 841‑7661. We’ll review goals, assess fit, and recommend the best package.
Q: Do you offer in‑person sessions?
A: Yes — I offer in‑person sessions in Telluride. During the summer I can travel to Ridgway or Norwood for group workshops if there is sufficient interest (multiple students on the same day); contact me to coordinate.
Q: Do you offer virtual sessions?
A: Yes — live virtual tutoring is available for students everywhere. Sessions use Zoom/Google Meet and support screen sharing, digital whiteboards, and file/photo uploads.
Q: What grades and subjects do you teach?
A: I specialize in K–10 math, with secondary support and academic coaching available for older students.
Q: What packages do you offer and how much do they cost?
A:
Single Session — $160 / hour (60 min)
Weekly Bundles — 2 hrs/week — $300 total (effective $150/hr) or 3 hrs/week — $390 total (effective $130/hr)

See Summer Workshop page for package options.
Q: What’s included with the Focused Coaching options?

Q: Do you offer Add‑Ons?

30‑min Student Check‑In — $50 (live, brief, between lessons)
Homework review & annotated feedback — $25/assignment (asynchronous; returned within 48 business hours)

Written learning plan / semester map — $75
See the full Add‑Ons page for details and policies.
Q: Are there materials fees?
A: For summer workshops the $50 materials cost is included in the $150 nonrefundable booking deposit. Private students are charged a $50 materials fee at enrollment (covers starter handouts). Additional recommended resources (workbooks, manipulatives, software) are billed separately only with parent/guardian approval.
Q: How do I reserve a summer workshop spot and what are payment terms?
A: A $150 nonrefundable booking fee is required to reserve summer workshop spots (applied to materials and the June Intro). Full program prepayment is required to hold your spot by June 3. After deposit you’ll receive scheduling options based on group availability.
Q: How do prepaid bundles and retainers work?
A: Retainers are prepaid monthly at the discounted rate and secure priority scheduling. The 10‑Hour Bundle is prepaid, valid for 6 months, and provides the same supports while hours remain active.
Q: What is your cancellation, rescheduling & make‑up policy?
A: Single sessions require 24‑hour notice to avoid a fee. Prepaid packages/retainers require 48‑hour notice; one make‑up is allowed per month for prepaid clients. Asynchronous services (homework review, written plans) are nonrefundable once work begins.
Q: Are private session payments refundable or transferable?
A: Private/single session payments are nonrefundable. If you need to reschedule and I have availability within one calendar week, you may transfer your paid session to a new time (subject to my schedule). If no slot is available within one week, the credit may be applied to prepaid packages or future services per our refund/transfer policy.
Q: Can you work with homeschooled students or students pursuing dual‑enrollment?
A: Absolutely — I regularly support homeschool schedules and provide targeted coaching for students pursuing dual‑enrollment or college credit.
Q: What technology do we need for virtual sessions?
A: A stable internet connection, a camera‑enabled device (tablet/laptop preferred), and the ability to send PDFs/photos of student work. Platform details are provided when we book.
Q: How quickly will you respond to booking requests or questions?
A: I reply within one business day. For urgent requests or faster coordination, please text (720) 841‑7661.
Q: How will I know my student is making progress?
A: Progress is tracked during sessions and in lesson plans. Parent updates or formal progress summaries are available on request as an add‑on.
Q: How do I pay and reserve discounted rates?
A: I accept cash, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. Discounted rates require prepayment (monthly retainer or 10‑Hour Bundle). Call or text to arrange payment: (720) 841‑7661.
Q: Do I need to include a message when I submit the contact form?
A: No — name and contact are sufficient. The message field is optional but helpful (brief note on grade, goals, or preferred days/times speeds scheduling).
Q: Can I see references?
A: Yes — professional reference letters and contact information are available on request and on the Meet the Coach page.
